what’s it like to work with Dr. Savannah?
your questions are answered below!
Extended visits
As a Naturopathic Physician, Dr. Savannah takes the time to get to know you as a person.
Her visits are longer than typical medical visits, lasting between 45-90 minutes each.
She considers all factors that contribute to your wellness & illness, from medical history and health behaviors, to life experiences, traumas, and relationships.
In-office and telehealth
Dr. Savannah is no longer offering housecalls as has started seeing patients in her new Kirkland office location! The address is:
13128 Totem Lake Blvd NE, Suite 203, Kirkland, WA 98034
Dr. Savannah’s office is located inside the Clear Chiropractic clinic right off of 405. The building has a few sets of stairs, and an elevator in the center, to reach the second floor.
When you arrive for your visit, you can let the front desk know that you’re here for a visit with Dr. Savannah. They will invite you to take a seat in the lobby where Dr. Savannah will meet you.
For virtual visits, a HIPAA-compliant platform called Spruce App is used. Her supplement dispensary is also online through Fullscript, where she discounts all nutritional supplements for her patients.
Individualized treatment plans
You are a unique bodymind with unique life experiences. Your symptoms might look just like those of the person next to you, but have a completely different cause.
Dr. Savannah seeks to provide your body with the precise, individualized medicine it needs to heal its unique symptoms and root causes.
Treatment plans are often diverse, incorporating nutrition, counseling, mindfulness, movement, hydrotherapy, nutraceuticals, specialty lab evaluation, and medications when appropriate.
Shared decision-making
Dr. Savannah values a doctor-patient relationship built upon trust, open communication, informed-consent, and patient autonomy.
She will not dictate a plan set in stone but will offer ideas and options, and you will get to decide if a given treatment feels like the right for for you.
Dr. Savannah will teach you about your body, and invite you into the seat of power and autonomy, a position of ownership, within your body, health, and personal choices.
Insurance doesn’t limit your care
Dr. Savannah is an out-of-network provider, which means she does not directly bill insurance companies.

Root-cause medicine
Your symptoms are messages pointing us in the direction of what needs healing.
Dr. Savannah seeks to find the root causes of your dis-ease instead of suppressing symptoms.
This process involves a taking a thorough medical history, getting to know you as a person, running lab tests, and trying out different therapies to help diagnose what’s happening in your bodymind.
Your internal relationship with yourself is almost always a contributing factor in ongoing symptoms. Dr. Savannah provides ongoing holistic counseling and mindbody medicine to help heal this root cause of dis-ease.
What to expect when you schedule a visit…
Before the first visit
When you decide to work with Dr. Savannah, you’ll pay a non-refundable $100 deposit to schedule your first visit. Dr. Savannah will send you a detailed email with all the information you’ll need to get started, including intake paperwork, consent forms, and invitations to the patient portal (Charm), video platform (Spruce) and online dispensary (Fullscript).
The first visit
Your New Patient Visit will last for 90 minutes.
Dr. Savannah will use this time to get to know you and your medical history on a deeper level than you’ve likely experienced with other practitioners. Dr. Savannah integrates this information to build an understanding of the unique factors contributing to your wellness and illness.
She’ll ask you about your stress and stressors to gain insight into how your body protects itself when faced with modern-day danger and will walk you through personalized Mindbody practices to teach your nervous system how to increase resiliency to these stressors and release obstacles to your healing.
Throughout this visit, you and Dr. Savannah will craft a Foundations Plan to begin addressing your concerns. At the end of the visit, you’ll schedule your Return Visit for 2-4 weeks later.
After the first visit
After your New Patient Visit, you’ll have your blood drawn for routine lab testing. Dr. Savannah orders labs electronically through lab companies called LabCorp and Quest. She will direct you to the draw site nearest you.
Most patients use insurance to cover this lab testing, and some receive a small bill in the mail after the blood draw. Certain tests are not covered by insurance—like Vitamin D, food sensitivities, or specialty GI / stool testing. Dr. Savannah will discuss with you during your visit whether this testing is indicated for you.
You’ll work on the recommendations in your Foundations Plan for a few weeks while Dr. Savannah integrates your lab results with your medical history to further diagnose your symptoms and craft a plan for your healing.
The second visit
At your Return Visit, you and Dr. Savannah will touch base on how you’re feeling and how you did with the Foundations Plan. She’ll review your lab results in detail and will explain the connections between abnormal results and your health concerns.
Dr. Savannah will describe the available treatment options, and together you’ll decide what options best fit your individual needs.
Continuing care
Some patients decide to schedule weekly Mindbody Medicine visits where holistic counseling can help unravel the root causes of most of our chronic dis-ease—stress and trauma patterns in the nervous system.
Other patients decide to schedule Return Visits with Dr. Savannah every month or few, to check in on their plan and receive support in their healing process.
Referrals
Dr. Savannah loves connecting with new patients through referrals. If you have a friend, family member, or coworker who might benefit from this type of holistic care, you can send a three-way email introduction. From there, Dr. Savannah will offer a free 15-minute consultation.
